Chios Island Gate Visa

For this procedure, the documents listed below must be submitted to the CESA office no later than 9 days before the date of entry to Chios Island:

Photocopy of the photo page of your passport (passport must be valid for at least 3 months and not older than 10 years)
1 biometric photograph
Photocopy of both sides of national identity card
Round-trip ferry ticket (return date must be specified, open tickets are not accepted)
Paid hotel reservation confirmation (names of visa applicants must be written on the reservation document)
Contact information including phone number, occupation, and residence (a note should be included in the submitted document file)
Fully completed and signed Gate Visa Application Form (Form must be filled out in digital format)
Photocopy of Schengen visa obtained within the last 1 year, if applicable

DETAILS: The total cost of the visa is €95, which must be sent to the CESA office along with all documents. If one family member is an EU citizen, non-EU Turkish passport holders will pay a fee of €45. Gate visas are only available to Turkish passport holders. For children aged 0-18, the same documents apply, and the visa fee is €45 in total. No refund will be issued if the visa is rejected by Greek authorities. If the traveler does not participate in the relevant journey for any reason, the visa application will be rejected and no refund will be issued.

No notes should be written on passport and ID photocopies. Health insurance and bank account statements are not required during application. The application form must be filled out digitally.

Handwritten forms will not be accepted.

WARNING: Gate visa application is valid for a maximum of 9 days and for single entry only. Travelers with a Northern Cyprus entry stamp in their passport cannot enter Greece. Gate visa is only valid for the applied island; entry to other islands is not permitted. Applications with incomplete documents will not be accepted, and all responsibility lies with the traveler.
